It's time to
calm your chaos!
Do you remember a time when burning the candle at both ends, running in the never-ending hampster wheel, and daily chaos was not the "norm"? Days like that seem so far away just considering what we have all been through the last few years; isolation, financial devastation, and just plain broken. That doesn't even include the survival life we were living pre-pandemic. Don't you want to calm your chaos and change all that?
Melinda S. Schuster, M.A.,
Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor
Do you know why Waldo went to therapy? *To find himself!!* HA!
My name is Melinda and I help overwhelmed and lost humans just like you: ones that have it within them to calm their chaos, desire to move out of survival mode while clinging on to hope; but just need the support and tools to get there.
I help my clients find confidence, compassion, and forgiveness by equipping them with the tools they need to understand their beliefs about themselves and desensitize them to the impact of their trauma.
Many of today's solutions for adjusting to life's curveballs are just not cutting it anymore and leading so many to feel like they are failing at life and not capable of managing things they use to. I know that your circumstances are unique, so every move in therapy will be tailored to you and your needs with your end goal in mind.
First, we will chat about the growing pains life is throwing your way which is causing you to feel shame, guilt, and failure; resulting in irritability, inability to focus or complete simple tasks, and broken relationships. Then we will work on changing your thinking and changing your pattern of living while embracing growth and healing that will be most effective for you. Through our work together, you'll be better at understanding your needs and how to communicate with those who are most important to you, being present during the best times of your life, and becoming an expert at managing your chaos.
I am dedicated to helping people find themselves.
My training in EMDR, CBT, and PMH, means I have the expertise you need and deserve when reaching for your highest potential. But at the end of the day, you want to know you're working with someone who "gets" what it means to be completely overwhelmed, lost in life, and struggling to balance it all, right?
I get it because my parenting has been terrible at times, postpartum kicked my tail (twice), grief rocked me to my core, and imposter syndrome has stolen my confidence as a therapist more than once. I know that dark isolation can be cozy and prevent you from seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. So when we work together, you won't just get a trained therapist. You'll get someone who truly understands what your going through.
You don't have to keep waking up every day with the heavy weight of being overwhelmed and lost. I can help organize your chaos and find yourself.
