Melinda S. Schuster, M.A., LPC-S

Born and raised in the West Texas Panhandle in the small community of Muleshoe, Melinda graduated high school and attended Eastern New Mexico University obtaining an Associate of Arts in General Studies (2001), Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology (2002), and Master of Arts in Counseling (2007).

Before moving to Oklahoma in the Fall of 2008, Melinda became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of New Mexico. After moving to Woodward, OK she became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2011 while working at Western Plains Youth and Family Services and White Horse Ranch.  In 2012, Melinda began her journey in private practice serving Woodward and surrounding areas for the next seven years.  She relocated to Stillwater, OK in 2018, and gained experience with Grand Lake Mental Health Center for approximately 2 years, and has most recently returned to private practice in December 2019. During the pandemic, she founded a nonprofit and charitable organization called Porkchops's Love Foundation, Inc. to provide mental health awareness, education, and fund suicide prevention. In June of 2021, she became a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas. 

Melinda is certified in Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) and Trauma-Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).  She is also a supervisor for Licensed Professional Counselor – Candidates and has successfully supervised applicants seeking licensure since 2013. Melinda has a passion for childbearing families' emotional and mental health and is currently seeking certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). She also has the availability to complete the Domestic Violence Inventory (DVI) on an individual basis as court-ordered.  

Other experiences Melinda has gained on her journey of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor include: being a Case Manager at a long term juvenile detention center in Texas and an outpatient non-profit agency in New Mexico, a juvenile probation officer in the State of Texas, Counselor at an outpatient non-profit community mental health agency in New Mexico and Oklahoma, Counselor at an all-girls equine therapy inpatient group home in Northwest Oklahoma, and a Vocational Counselor for the State of Oklahoma with the Department of Rehabilitation Services. 

Her therapeutic experience is in individual, couples, and family therapy. Melinda prefers the diversity of clientele as she has continued to treat those of various ages, cultures, sexual orientations, and religious and spiritual beliefs.  Specifically, she has provided therapy to individuals struggling with addiction, ADHD, anger management, anxiety, behavioral issues, codependency, coping skills, depression, divorce, domestic abuse/violence, eating disorders, family conflict, grief, premarital/marital conflict, parenting, pregnancy/prenatal/postpartum, self-harming, self-esteem, sexual abuse, stress, sexual identity suicidal ideation, and trauma.

Chantel Weeks, MCP, LPC

Chantel Weeks grew up in Northwest Oklahoma attending Mooreland High School and graduating from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2011 and a Master of Professional Counseling Psychology in 2015. Chantel became a Licensed Professional Counselor in October 2018. She has a variety of work experience including working within the criminal justice system, with juvenile offenders, providing case management, and crisis intervention. Currently, she is employed full time at Northwestern Domestic Crisis Services providing therapy to domestic violence victims as well as victims of sexual assault. She believes in empowering victims of abuse so that they can realize their true potential despite life circumstances.
